Grey Matter Radio

Shows

The following is a tentative list of Shows that will be produced for Grey Matter Radio:

Daily Dose of Grey

Daily Dose of Grey will be the local news you wish you had! Our quest is to provide you with interesting and tasteful local coverage, some of which may be outside of the mainstream. We endeavor to break the mold of traditional news by not becoming fixated on doom and gloom, or in the words of a former connoisseur of local media, not to become “Death TV.”

Grey Matter Community Wrap Up

Based on the idea of promoting organizations that help people, inspire the exchange of ideas, and make a positive impact on their environments, Grey Matter Community Wrap Up was born. Many times these types of organizations go unnoticed, especially in respect to local media coverage. The goal of this show is th share their visions and works as well as to foster the conditions for collaboration between the various organizations as well as listeners.

Grey Noise

Grey Noise will be a DJ’d segment playing various new bands and local music by request.

The Ghetto Show

The Ghetto Show will be a show focused on sketch comedy, pop culture, and social commentary. Originally created by Jesse Higginbotham and Jon Jones in 2005. The show is being reborn and re-imagined and will feature some new voices and characters.

Muse in a Grey World

This show is based very simply in its own title. It will be a collection of the musings of both musicians and listeners about music and visual art. Hopefully it will be a platform to introduce and review new music as well as to discuss music and art theory.

Plato’s Cave

Referencing Plato’s popular Allegory of the Cave, Plato’s Cave will focus on philosophy in theory, in practice and how it relates to reality, that is IF reality exists!

Tech for You

Tech for You will look at current tech trends, how they affect our lives and how to utilize the technology we currently have that is often quickly deemed obsolete.

World View

World View will delve into issues around the world from 2 perspectives. The first angle is to see the problem in its source environment and how it affects the people. The second angle is to look at how it affects other parts of the world, and how they and we can influence change or solutions.
